Purls Of Wisdom Yarn Shoppe Welcomes You

new store space

FrouFrou’s store-front is closed and many of their loyal customers are looking for a new shop… Maybe this is how you found this page.

It is sad to see an independent business go. We wish the owner Barbara Lagos well and hope she is on her return to good health.

We are sending a Warm Welcome to former FrouFrou customers and hope you will visit us. We offer a 10% discount if you call and arrange to come with a group of 6 or more. Make it an outing to the heart of Kimberton and also visit the other small shops on Kimberton Road. Ideas Bookstore,   Kimberton Whole Foods,  EarthsSpeak Gifts,   The Station Bistro

Welcome to Purls of Wisdom. We are glad you found your way to our website.  We hope you have time to find your way to our shop, located in beautiful, historic Kimberton Village, just up the road from Kimberton Whole Foods. Whether you are a seasoned knitter or crocheter, or brand new to the world of fiber arts, we are sure to have something to inspire you. Our stock includes locally spun and dyed merino, and imported fibers such as silks, llama, merino, linen and cottons.

Our friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff is happy to assist you in selecting yarns, accessories, and patterns for your next project as well as to help with and answer any questions you might have about your current project.
We specialize in organic and “Fair Trade” yarns and fibers, where care is taken to farm in a sustainable manner, and where people, working together in small co-operatives in places such as South Africa, Uruguay, and Peru, can earn a living wage helping both their families and their local communities, while providing us with beautiful and unique products.
We also carry a full line of well-known designer yarns and patterns such as Debbie Bliss, Juniper Moon Farms, Louisa Harding, Hannah Fettig, as well as needles and notions to support your artistic endeavors.  Classes are ongoing, from beginning knitting and crocheting, to more advanced techniques.  We currently have Wednesday night and Friday morning knitting groups, but our door is always open for you to come in and sit with a project or browse our shop.
